We are super excited to ring in this new year with a new update to our Android browser! Say hello to Dolphin Browser HD v 7.3, complete with a new style and an enhanced Webzine redesign. What’s the face of Dolphin for Android look like in 2012? We’ll tell you!

Dolphin Connect
In the v7.3 update, we will continue to improve Dolphin Connect, which allows you to sync your favorite bookmarks across all Android and iOS devices. Dolphin Connect is not only easier but also smarter. Why?
We have simplified the Dolphin Connect sign-up process by enabling email auto-complete and sync bookmarks quickly without verification.
Dolphin Companion v2.0:
We’ve also improved the compatibility of Dolphin Companion with v2.0. The new version integrates even better with Dolphin HD v7.3, and holds the option to disable icons in the notifications bar that can be accessed through the Add-on page. Dolphin Companion aims to save battery life and speed up and secure your browsing experience. You can download it here.
Additionally, we have added six more Webzine publications to further enhance your reading in 2012! Adding to our already impressive list, we now have CNET, ZDNet, IntoMobile, Softpedia, PCWORLD, PPCGeeks, EuroDroid, and AndroidPit!
Thank you so much for your feedback and support in 2011! And as always, we love to hear your feedback and want to make sure that we are creating Dolphin for you, so don’t hesitate to contact us at support@dolphin-browser.com.
Stay tuned for a whole new experience in 2012!
Happy New Year!
The Dolphin Team

Wow… I just noticed that you cant download or install Addons without freakin android market installed!!?!?! Really? Come on. Anyone care to upload and share shiny shake addon apk?
Currently all add-ons need to be downloaded from the Android Market.
We will let you know if we upload it on our blog.
Add on page I mean
I still can’t get the battery saver off my notifications bar. I swiped the apps bar open and opened battery saver and there is no option at all for removing it.
Hey Ame.
After opening Dolphin Companion, please press Menu-> Settings, then you’ll see “Ongoing notification” option. Just uncheck it.
And please make sure that your Dolphin Companion is the latest v2.0
I agree with some of the other comments. I’m having a very difficult time with this. It’s become way TOO sensitive, and about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time i’m trying to scroll to the right on a webpage, the toolbar opens. Very frustrating. The bookmarks still work well, but the toolbar on the right is killing me.
Does this still happen in Dolphin HD v7.3?
Yes its happening since v7.3 update(Both beta and Non-beta). Very very frustrating.
We are trying to figure out a better way to slide out the sidebar now.
Stay tuned!
Good to hear you’re working on it. Just to clarify, if it would only slide out when scrolled all the way to the side of the webpage, that would be great. But the way this version is working on my phone, just about any time I try sliding my finger left, to see the right side of a webpage, the toolbar opens. Then i have to swipe right to close the toolbar, then try to slide my finger left again (while hopefully not opening the toolbar again) to see the right side of the webpage.
Another suggestions would be to make it so that you could still scroll the webpage to the right, while the toolbar is open. That way, if you accidentally open it, you can still navigate the page.
Again, thanks for working the issue.
Thanks Anthony.
We will see whether we can incorporate your feature into Dolphin.
Dolphin is the best mobile browser, period. I’ve been using it for while now. This last update, though, seems to have done something to the left-right swipe action to show the bookmarks and add ons bar. Since the update, on my phone and my tablet, getting the swipe to work is an exercise in frustration. Please fix ASAP!
Hey Curt.
Do you mean the sidebars are very hard to slide out since the update?
For my bug report it seems to be a rom issue (still highly experimental, even if it works great except some minor stuffs) :
.
I have flickering on some other apps when opening from a link, dolphin was just the most obvious since I often open web links
Sorry for the disturbance .
If so, can you tell us the detail of your rom?
Since the last update(Dolphin Browser HD v 7.3.0), the bookmarks bar and the adds ons bar are way too sensitive, I can barely move left or right in the browser without them sliding on screen. Thats going very very irritating. Plz Fix that problem.

Hey Amit.
If you don’t slide the edge of the screen, the sidebars won’t slide out.
I request a “shake it” option to switch between tabs! It would be awesome. Dont forget an option to change shake it sensitivity
Wow, we already have an add-on to do the thing you want!
Check out Shiny Shake: https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.mgeek.shinyshake
It would help immensely if you guys offered direct apk downloads for everyone that doesn’t have Android Market access. Other appstores take forever to update the new versions.
Nice suggestion, Nathan.
We will consider it if necessary.
Yes yes and yes! As camorgan said! Direct download apk without android market would be much better! Since i dont use android market or barcode or any of that crap!
If you want to reach out to more users u should link to both android market AND a mirror apk. Just sayin.. Dont sell your soul to Google.
Yes, we know it’s important to hold apk by ourselves.
And we are just trying to figure out a better way to do it. Once we make it, we’ll let you know.
is there a way to go back to the previous version 7.3 makes using desktop mode a major pain. Every time you try to scroll left or right you easily open the bookmark or toolbar section, it seems like it cant fill in the web page fast enough and thinks that you are at the edge of the page.
Yes, I would like to be able to directly download since I’m on a Kindle Fire. Usually your site has one.
The more easy to swipe toolbar is a nice change, but makes horz page scrolling difficult as I’m always opening the toolbar :p
Thanks for your comment, Marc.
I will direct it to our relevant team member and see how we can improve it.
I can only find android market and barcode download. I have android market uninstalled and need mirror download direct to phone thanks. Anyway great job, best phone browser for sure.
Hey.
Do you mean that you want to download apk of v7.3 without going to Android Market?
Thanks.
We will consider your suggestion if necessary.
I have enjoyed dolphin it works better than opra 9cloud foxfire slill like chrome too
Query: multiple google GooglePlus facebook and twitter accounts can only sync one or none with dolphin sign in great product
My google accounts mailto:NecroTombNoir@live.com, mailto:SilverJediShade@yahoo.com, mailto:jamespaulshelburn@gmail.com
Thanks for the release. Just to report that my previously reported bug on sgs2 cm9 alpha is still there.
Hey.
It would be really great if you can tell us where you open the link and then open it in Dolphin.
A specific example will help us a lot to fix the problem.
Directo linko, por tabor.
Heeey?! Wheres the normal mirror download for us who dont use google market?!
Big minus! You should post a direct download mirror in your updates..
APK is here: http://www.filesonic.pl/file/zQXPo2r
I must be missing something. Webzine looks the same to me.
On the other hand, it feels a lot faster! I’d make this my default browser, but downloading from places like filesonic still produce an htm file instead. Get that working one day, please! It would make a lot of things much easier.
