Bringing Dolphin’s exceptional browsing experience to the iPhone. Now Android fans don’t get jealous, the iPhone version is mainly optimized for iPhone but let’s just check out what’s under the hood.
Let us introduce you to the myriad of new features of Dolphin for the iPhone v1.0 that make your browsing experience effortless:
1. Webzine. Fast loading, without ads; Webzine simplifies the way you read your favorite news, blogs and websites.
Dolphin Webzine displays web articles in an elegant format without distractions. Scroll through thumbnail images to open one of 120+ channel subscriptions and tap on any thumbnail image open to the article. From Techcrunch to Cosmopolitan, Webzine brings the elegance back to reading on the web.
2. Gesture. Let your inner artist out and create personal symbols to access the websites you use the most.
Use a “G” to reach Google.com, an “F” for Facebook.com or create your own. By just clicking on the Gesture hand symbol on the menu bar, Dolphin Gesture enables you to open your favorite sites with just one stroke.
3. One-click share via Twitter/Facebook. It’s easy to be social on Dolphin.
Share websites while browsing without ever leaving Dolphin. Simply click the Twitter icon on the top right to share on Facebook or Twitter.
4. Speed Dial. Visit you favorite sites on the go with one touch.
No need to type out long URLs on tiny keyboards, simply input your favorite sites on Speed Dial and access them with just one click.
5. Tabbed browsing. No need to toggle between screens, tabbed browsing lets you open and switch between pages fast as lightening.
Perfect for the multi-tasker. Dolphin lets you have an unlimited amount of tabs open, just as you would on your desktop.
6. SideBars. Make the best of mobile interface via Dolphin SideBar.
No need to worry about limited interface on mobile device anymore. Swipe to the right and quickly launch the toolbar. Swipe to the left and browse your bookmarks list, browsing history and folders.
7. MenuBar, The fastest way to customize, share and find information.
Dolphin’s intuitive MenuBar enables you to customize a Gesture, Speed Dial, email, and bookmark for your current page with just a stroke. Tired of iPhone copy and paste functions, Dolphin enables you to copy the URL with one button, and find key terms within the web page.
8. User agent. Can’t access a site in mobile? Easily switch to desktop view.
With Dolphin, you can change your user agent from desktop to mobile view according to your needs.
Download Dolphin Browser for iPhone now!

I installed Dolphin Browser on my jb-en iPhone. Everything works perfectly. Then I installed MyFile from Cydia. I did not like MyFile so I uninstalled it. When I download a file in Dolphin and choose the “Open in” option, I can still see MyFile in the list of apps to open the file. Is there a way to remove MyFile from the options?
Hi Allen.
It might be because that you didn’t uninstall MyFile completely. Please clear all your registration information and see whether it works.
I know how to do that in a PC but how do I do it on the iPhone?
Just clear all related data in Cydia.
I can’t install the browser on my IiPhone 4s…. there’s no “install” button in the app store. Is apple blocking it? … I had an Iphone for over 3 years now and I never see anything like this…
Hey Joe.
Can you send a screenshot to support@dolphin-browser.com? So we can take a direct view of your problem.
Will you be bringing back fullscreen mode for the iPhone? This is sort of a key feature IMO. I love the Dolphin browser but without fullscreen I may abandon it.
Yes, definitely!
Stay tuned for our next update!
I got the keyboard problem as well. It is a bit laggy during typing and, most serious, the keyboard disappears very often.
FYI, I’m using iPhone4s.
Are you on iOS 5.0.1 as well?
We have fixed the keyboard issue in next update. Stay tuned!
Yes. iOS 5.0.1
Thanks
Welcome!
Love the browser..BUT…THE KEYBOARD ALWAYS DISAPPEAR!!! ON ALL TEXT INPUT FIELD…except web URLs…any fix? im on 5.0.1….restart browser and stuff….no work.
Thanks for your comment.
Do you use iPhone4 or iPhone4s?
I have iOS 5.1 on Iphone 4S. I installed Dolphin browser and went to gmail.com. I tapped on the User ID. The keyboard did not appear. Why it happens. I do not know is this a bug or I am doing something different…………?????? I have to uninstall this browser. Although the Dolphin seems to be a great browser
I have iOS 5.1 on Iphone 4S. I installed Dolphin browser and went to gmail.com. I tapped on the User ID. The keyboard did not appear. Why it happens. I do not know is this a bug or I am doing something different…………?????? I have to uninstall this browser.
Hey Channi.
The User ID? Do you mean your User name?
Can you try to re-start the browser and see whether it fixes your problem?
Browser is really laggy when scrolling pages and when typing. Also your site shows fullscreen feature for iphone but its not there
Hi Michael. is the browser slow on which site?
Can you send us a specific url link?
Also, what is your iOS system version?
For the fullscreen, we will let you know if we bring it back.
I am using iOS 5.0 with iPhone4S.
When I reply to a forum thread, as I tap on the keyboard, the words appears to lag behind my tapping speed.
I can feel that the letters did not appear on the screen immediately when I tap the keyboard. The lag is not very laggy, but users will definitely notice it.
Eg, keep tapping on the letter ‘A’, and u will see lots of blanks as the cursor moves ahead. When you stop, all the ‘A’s suddenly appear behind.
Just a feedback. It happens in the last version as well.
Thanks,
Zack
Can you add a setting to disable the tap to top shortcut? With ios 5, this “shortcut” causes me to lose my spot on a page every time I need to tap the notifications bar!
Hi, Andrew.
Would you send a screenshot of your issue to support@dolphin-browser.com?
Loved Dolphin browser on IPhone. Fast, and love the gestures.
Some suggestions to improve browsing experience.
1) A “tap” at the top bar = Goto Top action?
2) Sidebar trigger too easily, so instead of 1 finger swipe left/right to trigger the sidebars, probably 2 finger swipe to trigger sidebar will reduce false trigger?
3) bottom menu bar is always visible, I don’t know if there is a way to make it autohide, or maybe 2 finger swipeup starting from bottom bar = show bottom bar?
Above are nice to have. Still a great app. Thanks for the hardwork
Zack.
Thanks for your comment, Zack.
We have fixed the 1 & 2 issues in our upcoming version. Stay tuned!
As for the 3rd one, we currently don’t support it. But I will direct it to our relevant team member.
I love the browser, it’s my new default. Some suggestions though, I’m using iOS 5 (iPhone 4S) and there appears to never be pinch to zoom support unless I’m on an image or something and when there is support the sidebar gestures get in the way. Also, the tab bar at the top could be optimised for space by using favicons in the portrait orientation or when there are too many tabs to fit in the screen. I’m sure you’ve considered these things, just wanted to let you know someone would like these features. Thanks for your hard work.
Thanks for your suggestions.
I will direct them all to our relevant team member.
If you have any further suggestions, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Hi, I can’t find a way to add bookmarks to the home screen on the iPhone version. Is there a way to do this because I can’t find an option to simply do it the same way like in Safari. Or is this a feature that is coming in updates?
Thanks
Thanks.
Currently, Dolphin doesn’t support such feature currently.
But I will transfer your request to our relevant team member.
Love the browser. Was my favorite on the Android platform. Since switching to the iPhone I immediately downloaded this app. Any chance you can put every single feature from the Android version in the iPhone version?
I feel it’s missing a ton of great features from Android. There were like 100s of settings and customization. On iPhone there’s 3. (Still the best browser out there.)
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for supporting us.
We will try to make Dolphin for iPhone better. But we may not be able to put every single feature from the Android version in the iPhone version, since the iOS is very different from the Android.
i am really starting to like this browser [iP4 iOS 5] however, after the latest update the fullscreen feature is no longer available.
any chance of this option returning?
Thanks.
We will redesign the interface in the later versions.
If full screen is back, we will let you know.
I wanna say that this brings the feel of Chrome to my iPad and I love it!
New default browser!
Thank you so much for supporting Dolphin for iPhone!
When zooming into a text box, on say a search form, the browser interprets the left and right movements of you placing the cursor or adjusting the copy tool as gestures to open the sidebar. Any way to disable them?
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Do you mean that you want to disable sidebars?
No, I understand what he means – when on iPhone and you click on a text box, you can’t scroll the cursor left or right through the text since moving your finger left or right opens one of the sidebars. I love the side bars, but it would be nice if they didn’t open when a text area/typing is active.
Thanks.
We will fix this issue in the next version.
Great browser, until now I just found one major bug, if I open gmail and select a mail, in safari is a popup showing controls to, for example delete the mail, but in dolphin this pop-up isn´t showing.
Thanks.
Does this problem happen in mobile view or desktop view?
And do you use iPhone4 or iPhone3g?
Hello. Ok
Is there a chance that Bookmarks import will be available on the iPhone version? It’s still 10/10 app for me!!! Great work Guys
Thanks for supporting Dolphin for iPhone.
I will pass your request along to our relevant team member.
Really liking the feel of the browser but no way to hide address bar and no controls in full screen? There needs to be a compromise. Either 1/5 of your small phone screen is address bar and bottom bar or you have no controls? The other comment about activating the left bar and going into your history is just tedious to do and slow to go through every time.
Thanks for supporting Dolphin.
We will optimize full screen feature in the next version.
And do you use iPhone4 or iPhone 3GS?
Thanks for supporting Dolphin.
We will optimize full screen feature in the next version.
And are you using iPhone4 or iPhone 3GS?
This is a nice phone.
And Dolphin is a nice browser.
How do you go back while in fullscreen mode without having to go out of fullscreen?
You can slide right to bring up Bookmark Sidebar, then find your previous page in History.
How do I activate Gesture To draw in Fullscreen mode?
Thanks for your feedback.
Currently gesture cannot be used in fullscreen.
But we will consider to make it if necessary.
Thanks for your feedback.
Currently gesture cannot be used in fullscreen.
I would like to second this request for gesture options in full-screen, just like you have it for the new iPad version I just downloaded today and already love.
I previously used Atomic Web, and I think your browser would be superior if you enabled gestures from full-screen. Right now, the one department they have you beat is that forward and back options appear in full-screen mode – they float transparent over the window. This makes full-screen mode useable. Currently in Dolphin, I can’t really use full-screen mode, since there are too many steps required to go back.
Thanks for your feedback.
We are dedicated to the constant improvement of Dolphin for iPhone.
Best browser i have used on ios till date..really loving it..sometimes though the browser crashes while visiting new web pages
Thank you for supporting us?
Can you explain more clearly that the browser on which site?
Where’s the iPad version?
The iPad version is on the way. Please stay tuned!
It’s a real shame Webzine won’t work on any blog you may go to. I was really hoping it would and work like Reader in iOS 5
Which blog do you visit that Webzine doesn’t work on?
Can you send us the specific url link?
do you have a specific email address you’d like us to send it to? or would you like us to just list them?
Yes, if you have any problem, you can submit it to http://blog.dolphin-browser.com/support/, or write email to us at support@dolphin-browser.com.
I’ve just installed Dolphin Browser on my iPhone, and love it because of it’s similarity to my standard browser, Chrome. However, one issue has cropped up: I cannot seem to successfully activate bookmarklets. Is this just a feature I’m missing, or is it missing?
Thanks!
Thank you for supporting us.
Currently Dolphin does not support bookmarklet.
Ilove dolphin browser!! , more power keep it up
Thanks, we will!
Fantastic! Is there an iPad app in the works?
iPad version is on the way. Stay tuned!
